All good things……
Posted in Blog on March 11th, 2008….Must come to an end.
Damnation!!! I’ve got a job.
Next Monday, the 17th, I start work as IT Technical Specialist at Ballantynes Department Store.
Oh well, the holiday had to end sooner or later. I’m glad really, I need to start earning, and get a bit of normality back, well, as normal as things ever can be.
We have been doing a bit more shopping, got a guest bed and a nice sideboard thingy for the dining room. The guy at the furniture shop told us (on our third visit) he was leaving – I don’t think it was the stress of dealing with us, but I’m not sure. Also got a few more mundane things like mops and ironing boards. Yes, Karen will have to start ironing shirts again when I start back to work – see, it is getting more and more normal as time goes by.
We had one of those “special moments” the other day. We were stood on the bedroom balcony watching the Sun setting when, just as it was hitting the horizon, a Piper started playing the Bagpipes below us on the hill. It was one of those traditional Scottish tunes ( I have no idea what it is called, but it is instantly recognisable) and it was really lovely. He only played for about 5 mins and we have no idea where he was but it was absolutely perfect.
Thanks to everyone for the messages (and comments on the Blog) about our new granddaughter Esme. They are all much appreciated, but to be fair, I think we ought to give a “little” credit to Phil and Michelle, they did (and will do) all the hard work.
I will keep adding pictures to the gallery as and when we have some, so keep checking to see if there are any new ones.
More soon….
