Lull before the storm!
Posted in Blog on May 21st, 2008We are getting back to normal after Julie and Andy visited.
Well, I say normal, what’s normal nowadays? We are buying childrens toys, car seats, cots and all sorts of other things ready for the next arrival of visitors from the UK. Michelle (younger daughter), Phil, Fern & Esme are arriving on the 10th June and I think we will not know what hit us. Having small children and babies around 24hrs a day is something we have not had for a very long time.
The weather is turning cooler here now and Autumn is setting in with all the leaves turning colour and starting to fall. We have seen snow on the Mountains but it is too early for the Skiing season yet, it starts sometime in June I think.
Karen has joined a Gym and I have started running home from work a couple of times a week again so we are getting back into trying to keep a little bit fit and the waistline under control as well. Although I am finding it hard to resist the Steak Pies from the Bakery a few doors up from the office at lunchtimes. Yum!
We have bought a Lemon Tree for the garden – it already has Lemons on it! Just need to find a Gin Bush and and a Tonic spring and we are sorted.
More soon.
